​September 23, 2026 - 6:00 pm   Emergency Communications Involving CERT Volunteers in Bodega Bay - HAM Radio and FRC Communication System.  Overview of local communication system with a central hub to inform and be informed by broader resources.  Volunteers & public are welcome.

October 15, 2026 - 10:00 am  “Great Shake Out” Exercise held in the Bodega Bay Emergency Shed Neighborhoods.  Neighbors participate in statewide drill to prepare for earthquakes.  Volunteers & public are welcome.

October 28, 2026 - 6:00 pm  Handling Pets During Disasters.  Learn about pet protection and resources available before, during, and after a disaster.  Volunteers & public welcome.

January 27, 2027 - 6:00 pm  Red Cross Adult & Pediatric CPR and AED Training.  Hands-on training with mannequins.  Led by Northern Sonoma County CERT trainers.  Free, but pre-registration is requested. Fee for a Red Cross CPR Certificate.  Volunteers & public welcome.

February 24, 2027 - 6:00 pm  Preliminary Structural Damage Assessment for CERT’s.  Observational and technical measures to assess and record structural damage and risks.  Led by Northern Sonoma County CERT trainers.  Open to CERT Volunteers only.

March 13 & 20, 2026 - 9:00 am to 3:00 pm  Hybrid Hands-on CERT Training.    In-person training for volunteers to help neighborhoods deal with disasters such as earthquake, flood, fire, tsunami, before professional help arrives.  Builds skills in situational assessment, first aid, light search and rescue, injury prevention, radio communications, and more.  Trainees qualify for Disaster Service Worker designation.  Pre-registration is required.  New volunteers and re-certifying CERT’s are welcome.

May 26, 2027 - 6:00 pm  Advanced First Aid Training.  Hands-on training to assess and manage serious injuries and medical emergencies until attention by a professional is secured.  Control severe bleeding, splint injured limbs, manage crush injuries, choking, allergic reaction, drug overdose (Narcan), shock, stroke, etc.  Open to CERT’s and others by advance request.
