Upcoming Events to be held at the Fire Station

- September 5, 9 – 3 pm: CHP Open House

- October 4, 3:30 – 5 pm: CERT Practice Drill

- October 4, 5:30 – 8 pm: Night at the Fire House

- November 4, 6 pm: CERT General Meeting


Also, available at the new website, information that was presented at the last general meeting about the REACH Helicopter Service and Insurance. There is an application form that will provide Bodega Bay residents with a discount for the air ambulance service.


Another Preparedness Shed has been installed in Carmet. That brings the number of sheds throughout Bodega Bay to nine. Another shed is soon to be built in the Westside area.


Bodega Bay CERT Practice Drill, Emergency Preparedness

October 4th, 3:30 - 5:00 pm


Throughout Bodega Bay there are Community Emergency Sheds setup. Experience what is available to you when an emergency happens.

The drill will happen at the sheds located in Osprey at South Harbour, Old Town, Salmon Creek, Carmet.

Write us at info@bodegabaycert.org for the specific location of the shed in your neighborhood where the drill will take place.

During the practice Drill you will have the opportunity to learn about critical elements to ensure everyone's safety and to help those in need. Here's what you will experience:

1. Windshield Survey. Checking for areas that need immediate attention.

2. Triage injuries. Determining what can be done to assist, tagging injured, identifying walking wounded.

3. Transporting injured.

4. Assessing damaged structures.

Presented by the Rancho Bodega Historical Society.


October 4, 5:30 – 8 pm: Night at the Fire House

Annual event to begin Fire Prevention Week


There will be demonstrations by the staff and food for everyone. This time of the year is especially important for everyone to be extra aware of the potential for wildland fires.


Check around your property to see if there is a safety zone between your home and plant materials. Trim back any trees or shrubs that are next to the house.
